![]() ![]() So windy, cloudy and grey weather.Īnd I have to say I was really impressed! Footage (I shot in 7) looked pretty good for a little and cheap camera like this. So I did my best to secure the SQ11 onto the 'camera-cockpit' of my XK A700 (velcro underneath, gaffertape over the top plus a small rubber band/see picture) and took it up for a spin in winds (3-4 bf) that made the light A700 rather twichy not the best conditions for smooth aerial footage, but a good test to see how the camera would handle changing conditions up high. My hopes weren't too high as the footage I got from driving around were kinda jello-y, but I had no way of mounting the little camera firmly. Just back from a first flight with the SQ11 camera. After a while it'll stay on (not sure yet what that means/camera stays warm) When you're trying to start to record when the battery is low, the blue light will flash a couple of times, and the camera will switch off. Video files: video will be broken up in sections, each 5m 01s long.Ĭharging: the RED light will blink while charging. If you don't want the stamp to show up, just change that 'Y' to a 'N' (No) and safe to the card. After that there is a space plus a 'Y' (Yes) for the stamp to show up. The camera will put a text-file on the card (20150101235530 / yyyymmddhhmmss) that you can correct in a text editor. My copy seems properly focused for aerial filming (not too close).ĭate/time stamp: you can choose for a date & time stamp to show up in you video or not. The 720p30 footage actually looks pretty good imo. Video: it looks to me that 1080p30 isn't really 1080, but upscaled from a lower resolution. I found the FOV wide enough while filming from my little rc plane and appreciate the straight horizon. Video Resolution: 1080P (1920 x 1080), 720P (1280 x 720)Īudio System: Built-in microphone/speacker (AAC)įield of View: you won't be getting the promised 140 degrees! FOV is wide, but at least without nasty fisheye bulge. Working Time: about 100 minutes at 1080P 30fps Max External Card Supported: TF 32G (NOT included)Ĭlass Rating Requirements: Class 10 or Above System requirements: Mac OS x 10.3.6 above, Win 7, Windows 2000/ XP/ Vista Support Windows ME / 2000 / XP / 2003 / Vista, Mac OS, Linux systemīuilt-in lithium battery sustainable camera up to 100 minutes Support TV out, TV monitor video connection SQ11 Mini 1080P Full HD Car DVR Camera Recorder They're on their way (black one from eBay and a red one from BG) so I'll report back when they arrive I've recently ordered a couple of these tiny digital SQ11 cameras, which seem to be the next instalment of the SQ family (SQ8 and SQ9).Įspecially the size, the price, the 1080p and 'viewing angle of 140 degrees' made me take notice.
